Description: The Grantham Optimist Softball League hosted its first annual family appreciation day at Grantham Optimist Youth Centre on July 21. There was free face painting, a skills competition and regular league baseball games scheduled throughout the day. Families enjoyed free pizza and hot dogs provided by community partners, Fat Louie's Pizzeria and Performance Auto Group. Fat Louie's also provided a free pizza party for each team that scored the most points in their league. The day of baseball and summer fun was organized to convey a sincere thank you to all volunteers, youth, family, and the community for their support and participation.
